We have a very small bathroom, and I wanted to put shelves over the toilet. Unfortunately, this did not leave enough room for the "spring loaded" toilet paper holder. That needed at least 10 inches of wall space. This holder has only once central mount, and was able to fit in the same location as the old holder without the same space requirement.

It does take a little "learning" to pull just a little paper without sending the roll spinning, but once you get that, you'll be fine.

My one negative experience with this is that our air conditioning blows directly on the roll, and because the two ends of the roll are not "enclosed" the breeze will slowly unravel the entire roll into the toilet bowl. :(

Pros:

* Good looking fixture

* Easy to install

* Small Footprint (can be used where you might otherwise need a floor stand.)


Cons:

* Subject to breezes (see above)

* Need to "learn" how to just get a couple sheets of paper.
